Changing the design of your Blogger Blog can boost it's prominence on the web and draw traffic to your Blogger Blog so with this in mind try putting some pizzazz into your blog using a slideshow.
To put a slideshow onto your Blog you don't have to have an account with any of the photo sharing websites, but if you do you can use your own photos. Slideshows can be added to Blogger Blogs from Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa Web Albums or any other photo sharing site. In this article I will explain how to add a slideshow to your Blogger Blog using Flickr or Picasa Web Albums.
To Add a Slideshow to Your Blog using Flickr or Picasa
Go to your Blog dashboard press "Design", this will take you to "page elements" and the "Add and arrange page elements". Here you will see a "map" of the layout of your Blogger Blog.
Add a Gadget
Depending on your Blogger Blog layout you will have a few squares somewhere on the page – probably on the left or right hand side and also directly under the title – on the squares will be written "Add a Gadget". Click on "Add a Gadget". I recommend choosing either the "Add a gadget" directly under the title or at the top of your sidebar on either side of your Blog.
Slideshow
A window will open up with a list of different types of gadgets you can add to your Blog. Click on the plus sign next to "Slideshow", to add a slideshow to your Blogger Blog.
Blog Flickr or Picasa Slideshow Title
The first window that you need to fill in is "title", so give your Blog slideshow a relevant but short title.
Blog Slideshow Source – Flickr or Picasa
Under "Source" select the photo sharing site that you want to work with, If your are using Flickr or Picasa Web Albums you can then select whether you want photos from your own albums or whether you want the photos for your Blog slideshow to be selected from other people's shared photos on these photo sharing sites.
To use photos for your Blog slideshow from your own photo albums select the option "Albums" and for photos from the entire photo sharing site select option "keywords".
If you have selected to use photos for your Blog slideshow from your albums on Picasa you must then fill in your Picasa Username, which of your Picasa albums you want to use photos from and the speed at which you want your Blog slideshow photos to change. Try using the medium speed option.
If you have selected to use photos for your Blog slideshow from your albums on Flickr you must then fill in your Flickr username and the speed at which you want the photos in your Blog slideshow to change.
Other Options for your Blog Slideshow
The next option for your Blog slideshow is "open links in a new window" or "randomize images", select "randomize images".
Then click on "Save" and the window will close, this will bring you back to the "Add and arrange page elements" page where you can preview your Blog page with the slideshow by pressing "Preview" in the top right hand corner. If you like what you see press "Save" and your Blog slideshow will have been added.
You can see an example of the kind of slideshow you can create for your Blog using Flickr or Picasa on my Blog: Unique Travel in Israel and I will soon be writing about creating a Blog slideshow using Photobucket which offers a few fancy additions to the regular type of Blog slideshow. On the Blog: Articles i write you can see an example of a Photobucket Blog slideshow.

Very useful. Now I want to explore this idea. Thanks.
Great advice.
I'm starting to get enough images in my Flickr account to make this viable. I think I'm ready.
On Flickr they don't have to be your images, you can use other Flickr images based on keywords. I prefer the Photobucket option which I will soon write about. In Photobucket you make the slideshow on Photobucket and then add it as HTML.
